Awards 11 with Andrej Pejic

The election of the Austria Fashion Awards 11 winners and celebrity model Andrej Pejic in Vienna.

Hi, the 11 festival has ended now, and I am excited to cover my personal highlights here.

If you have ever been to an award gala, you probably know that award events are in some respect difficult events, because they naturally tend to be lengthy (a lot of talks etc.) and are hard to follow, especially if the acoustics are not so good.

But Unit F, the organizer of the 11 festival, had some aces in the sleeves making the Austria Fashion Awards intriguing.

First, there were the cool slow and reverse motion video clips by Mark Glassner, filmed around the skyscraping "New Danube" appartment building in Vienna.

And secondly, they invited the super androgynous male model Andrej Pejic to Vienna, who handed over the Award for International PR to Michaela Buerger at the end of the show :)

I have also thought about Unit F's approach and actually find it quite reasonable to support designers with a high level of art and talent instead of supporting mainstream designers, who are commercially successful anyway.
