Hi, I have learned a lot about horses since I am together with Xena and started to love these cute, gentle and powerful creatures <3
Xena teaches a natural, bitless, riding method called "Rai-Reiten", which is named after its founder and German horse expert Fred Rai. Xena proofed also in her shows that the use of bits, whips and spurs is completely unnecessary to control a horse. If you are interested why this is the case and why bits can really harm your hooved friend, check out Xena's riding school website and her new tumblr.
May I introduce Xena's horses Argo, Khaleesi, Fury, and their hooved friends:
Good old Fury, 30-year-old crossbred horse
Lady horse Argo, Appaloosa
Django, Noriker crossbreed
Alexa, Noriker crossbreed
Sammy, Tinker paint horse
Sammy playing with Django :P
Khaleesi cuddling Argo
Happy horses at Xena's riding school :)
Looking forward to my next (ground) horse lesson :)
Have you heard about Rai-Reiten already? To bit or not to bit? What is your opinion about bitless riding? Is it possible to ride a horse without hurting or misusing your hooved friend?
