Game of Thrones NFTs coming

Official Game of Thrones NFTs immediately sold out, but graphics style got criticized. "Worst Thing I've Ever Seen". Story cards are nice though.

Game of Thrones NFTs The North #24

HBO has recently partnered with Niftys.com, Daz3D, and Warner Bros. to launch an official Game of Thrones NFT collection, which sold out within just 7 hours.

The first batch of NFTs, "The North", features 4950 Hero Boxes, each containing unique generative avatars, story and resource cards related to the popular fantasy series.

However, only 58 of the Hero Boxes have been opened so far. The initial price of one box was $150.

The collection has received mixed reviews, with criticism aimed at the lackluster and boring graphic style of the 3D avatars.

On the other hand, the story cards, which feature real photos of the actors, are quite nice though.

It is worth noting that part of the NFTs run on the Ethereum blockchain, which has led to longer minting times. Another part runs on the Palm blockchain.

Ethereum may not be the best choice for large-scale generative NFTs due to its scalability issues, unless the NFTs reach a cult status similar to CryptoPunks.

In light of the finanical success of the first Game of Thrones NFTs, it is likely that we will see more Game of Thrones-themed NFT collections in the future featuring other houses from the series.
