Hi, have you ever used Bing? Bing is the search engine from Microsoft, which suffered from a series of unhappy rebranding and relaunching attempts in the past, but got quite useful lately.

In fact Bing managed to deliver quite a decent user experience in search, by a clean interface with a left-hand menu, endless scrolling in photo search, and a video and page preview if you hover over a search result. All of the previously mentioned features appeared on Bing first and were later incorporated in a slightly different way by Google, which were quite reluctant to UI changes before Bing entered the market by the way ;)

One important note, if you live outside of the U.S., switch over to the U.S. version of Bing to get the most out of it. Otherwise you will get a beta version of Bing with a localized search index and less features than in the U.S. version. This also applies for Google, if you want to see their latest features, you must use google.com.

I love to compare results between Google and Bing and of course as a blogger it is also tempting to search for your own site from time to time to see who is linking or writing about you ;)

This is my favorite feature of Bing. Bing usually features landscapes, nature and architecture and avoids people & fashion to stay more neutral I guess. Here are some screenshots of the past days.

I am very appreciative of each and every fashion blogger who has written on the subject of blogging and technology. Each and every article helps to further inform and empower, enabling bloggers to upskill and better their craft. Blogging can get pretty technical, and even if your blogging platform is relatively easy to use there are so many surrounding factors (e.g. Twitter, Photo Shop, Mobile). In fact, I imagine very few fashion bloggers aren’t tech savvy. So, please keep writing tech ladies (and gentlemen), because we are all reading it up!
