Quite a few things escalated since the Coronavirus shutdown unfortunately.
This was the largest protest since the shutdown and subsequent reopening in Austria. About 50,000 people gathered in Vienna on Thursday, June 4th 2020 to peacefully join the protest against police violence and racism after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis during a brutal police operation.
The protest took place at the square of human rights (Platz der Menschenrechte) and the Marcus Omofuma memorial in Vienna, a Nigerian killed by police brutality while being deported from Austria.
I am glad that there was this protest in Vienna and would like to see also big protests for other important causes, such as the ongoing police violence in Hong Kong, or repressive and overshooting Coronavirus policies in Eastern Europe, and protests for a fair and transparent distribution of all the trillions of the Coronavirus shutdown relief funds.
Hands Up, Don't Shoot and stay SAFU <3
I can't breathe!
